Day 3 (of 11) of Aussie Punishment, Sick Slide Graph, Very Little Bitching?

First off this is my graph of headsup play since about November.... November, December, they went well, I was up about 55k? Running neutral EV.... (incase you dont understand these graphs, the thick green line is profit, the thin one is my "expected value" (expected all in value) So this is where I should be... Now I admit, I could cut down some of the losses from tilt.... I do tilt bad sometimes. But it is just the sickest thing ever. The downslide started about 12-13k hands ago, and I lose 100K????? Running over 50k below EV???? Tilting a bunch off because it is happening so fucking quickly????? WTF!!!!!

So my PDC roll is a little lighter now and it sucks....

I have been grinding slowly at FTP and PS, and almost decided to quit, I have an "hourly" of over 110$ an hour at 1-2 on both sites but you can't do that all day long. I have 16-20 tables loaded and it just wears you out, I play an hour then I quit. I go dick off on PS3 or something else for a couple hours and then decide I still am not looking forward to playing again so I don't. If I ever feel the need to make 1k a week for the rest of my life, I know where I will do it. But I have bigger ambitions of course, as I promised to make 350k this year but I am starting about 110k in the hole so this is going to be difficult now. I have faith though, luckbox a tourney and I am gold.

So I decided for punishment for the way I treated the trip to the Aussie Millions I would play all 11 of the Oklahoma State Championships of Poker events.

Day 1 was PLO, I cashed (kinda fluked, 131 entrants, 14 pay, we were round for round and I busted 15th but someone busted behind me so we chopped 14th... profit of 15$ off my 340$) (total play, 11 hours) (+2 hours on cash before the tourney, lost 1300$ playing 2-5)

Day 2, NLH 100k guaranteed. This event drew over 800 players somehow, I finished 20th for 1600$ profit of 1300$, sigh... time played, 15 hours

Day 3, just got home, was Limit O8, 92 entries, 10 pay, I get 10th.... lost a couple pots late, somehow cashed.... Had one big blind when we sat down with 10 left... time played 12 hours

All buyins are 340$

So why is this punishment? Well because other than the 800 player NLH I dont think a single tourney will pay over 20k to winner. As if I am going to win one, but hey atleast I have cashed all 3, kinda.

I am doing it as kind of "training" to be able to play long hours day in and day out live, and not have the luxury of my PS3 or cable tv or couch to nap or go eat when I want to etc etc. I have treated every live poker trip I have ever made very poorly, and I am starting to reallize how much money I have pissed away doing that. It is terrible the way I go on trips for poker, I go get super drunk play table games, give money away playing poker, strip clubs etc etc, and I am finally realizing how important it is to treat poker more like a "business" and not a hobby considering I dropped out of school to play poker and this has been my source of income for 5 years in May and I want it to be my source of income for atleast 5-10 more years.

Live poker typically is a vacation for me, even if it is close to home, it is a chance to get out of the house socialize with people who have the same ambitions (of being a degenerate gambler as such I guess) and obviously typically get hammered drunk.

I have not had anything to drink other than a couple redbull and vodkas (despite the fact I hate them) to keep me awake the first day since I was coming off my fucked up sleep schedule.

So 8 more days, it is a grind, I won't make much money unless I get top 3 in the main event they have which is a 3k buyin.

The reason I probably decided to punish myself, they are giving 5k to whoever accumulates the most points during the series of events, and I am going to win it.... Though I was told tonight how they are "supposedly" keeping the points, and it is fucked, but I will still win I think thanks to the deep run in the 800 player field. Basically you get 1 point for entering the tourney, and 1 point more for every place "inside the money" you get. So the 800 player field payed 72 places, winner gets 73 points, I got 53 points, so catching him is very doable if I get top 3 in a couple of the small fields. Since I don't think any other tourney is paying more than 20 spots, it could actually backfire, hopefully not though, I have cashed all 3 so I am playing well for the most part. Another incentive, you get a RING!!!!!!!! Which I can wear when I am wearing my HPT Jacket!!!!!!! Or just put the ring in the pocket of the HPT Jacket and hang it deep in my closet.

Ummmm other than that, nothing else to say.... Hopefully I don't snap before this ends, and hopefully I gain some valuable attributes to help myself when I go to play poker out of town. Turning away cocktails for water is so tough to do but getting easier for me.... I am such a lush....

I am so sick of FT.

How is it every session I play I am stuck 5k with a positive adjusted ev? So great.

So a few days ago I finally snapped and went on world famous Jay Tilt and turned what was a +10k month on FT into a -4k month. Great. So now I hate myself.

So after tilting off what was going to pay my bills, I decided to take a break. Of course, that only lasts until I open the software, see a donk at 10-20 and lose 2 coin flips to him. Then he leaves and the game breaks. This is followed up by fish coming to play heads up, who sucks out, wins some flips, coolers me, etc. Wins 2 buyins, leaves. Then this fish is either replaced by a nitty reg or someone who's actually good. Nitty reg will quit unless I spew to him, good player will annoy me because I'm already annoyed at having to play a good player after fish keep leaving. FJHDFJKSDHFJKHDJF

On an amusing side, many of the regs are pretty bad with more leaks than dudu after he's eaten an eigth of psychedelic mushrooms and snorted 5 lines of meth.

So I'm stuck like 7-8k at fullofshitpoker now. Great.

I guess I ran good there at some point in my life (although I do not remember this) and am now paying for it. Wonderful. Please, more of this. MORE I SAY.

Pulling My Hair Out!

Ok so I am just in Jerry mode again, I run like shit vs Jerry, even though he is a bad PLO player, I can't even explain how many bad spots I got into with Jerry or the guy I just finished playing at 5-10 but I lost an arm and a leg, I have like one more deep session in my PDC acct before I have to drop and rebuild.... I am so so so tilted right now....

My HEM isn't running so I can't see how far below EV I am running last few days but my favorite hand played today was vs a fish at 5-10 PLO HU

We are about 3500 deep each (well I was covering him, but this hand turned it around)

I tilt and get coolered more, will admit I was building big pots with marginal hands but..... I was still getting coolered ridiculously.

Towards the end of my session the guy I am playing is literally doubling me with TPTK in PLO and beating my ass.... All I need is 2 pair and I double up, then I make a set or something and start jamming and he backdoors something crazy that I give him no credit for having because he is paying me off so light I keep jamming into his backdoored nuts after he doubles me, so I go 100bb to 200bb then coolered then repeat...... yay

I am just proud of myself for not breaking anything during this session, I was punching my mouse to fold for a bit.

Played fairly badly for half the session tho...got into some ugly spots that should have been avoided and some folds should have been made. Played really well the other 50% of the time.

Slowrolling - as far as I'm concerned there's no such thing as slow rolling in online poker 99% of the time. I've been falsely accused of slowrolling in the past, the truth is I was just busy multitabling. So because someone doesn't insta call you with the nuts, doesn't mean they're slowrolling you...they could be busy elsewhere. Sometimes, you might even hit time bank just to slow the action down. For example, lets say you're playing 6 tables and you have a tough decision to make on 2 or 3 of them and a simple call with aces on another, you might hit the timebank just to buy yourself some time between hands to focus on the two tough decisions you have. Plus even if people aren't multitabling, they could be busy watching tv, surfing the web, chatting on AIM or whatever.

On the other hand, if it is quite obvious they are slowrolling you on purpose, proceed to rules of engagement.

Poker Etiquette According To Jay

Okay, so I've been meaning to do this blog for a while but have just never gotten around to it...so here goes. Some of it may look contradictory...but it's really not if you think about it.

1. Don't rathole! This is probably the single most disgusting thing you can do in a poker game. What is ratholing? It's when you buy in short at a particular limit, double up and immediately leave only to buy in short at another table of the same limit, double up and repeat the process. This isn't against any poker rule but is highly annoying and classless.

2. Don't hit n run. If you cooler someone the first hand, at least play them for a while before quitting. Nobody likes to get it in Kings vs Aces in the first 3 hands only to have their opponent quit.

3. Give ample quiting notice if you've been playing a heads up match for a while with someone you don't know or don't play frequently, especially if you're both regulars. For example, if you decide to two table some regular you don't usually play, let them know 30 minutes before you'll quit. It's common courtesy. This isn't necessary if you're playing with someone who you play daily since they know you'll be back tomorrow or the next day...but it is still nice to give a warning.

4. Don't ever talk poker strategy or make fun of how anyone played any hand at the table. Do not talk about anything related to playing hands. It doesn't matter and serves no purpose. You're only making an uncomfortable environment or improving the game play of others. Just shut up.

5. Don't make fun of recreational players just looking to have a good time. Everyone wants to be happy and have a good time when they play. They don't want to lose and feel bad afterwards. It's okay to kid around with regulars or semi regulars because they're less likely to not comeback...but in general it's just far better to keep a positive atmosphere for everyone.

6. Do not be a nosey moron. It's not polite to ask anyone how much they are up or down on the day. How much their bankroll is or anything else. It's none of your business.

7. Do not beg anyone for money. No one will give you a dollar. No one cares about you, no one cares that you need money to gamble. Maybe your mom does. Ask her for money.

8. Do not block any one's heads up tables. If you don't want to play them then leave! I don't care if they've been following you around for a week. Either post your blind or leave. Tables do not belong to you just because you were the first one to sit, tables belong to the person who's ready to play.

9. If you're going to bumhunt and only play the most terrible players, respect the guys who 1. play anyone 2. are willing to sit and play tough opponents to get a game going. Do not have more heads up tables open than them. Understand that they do not have to and probably don't respect you. You are a parasite who doesn't do anything to help games, you only hurt them and profit. You do not get first dibs on fish, you get last.

10. If you see a regular siting by themselves and a fish happens to join, do not run like a vulture if you're there only to play the fish. The guy sitting for 2 hours trying to start a game might be annoyed.

11. If 2 people are playing heads up at a non heads up table and have been for a while, do not interrupt their game if they ask you not to!

12. If the fish quits, do not instaquit the game. At least play 2 or 3 orbits before sitting out...maybe another will join. This goes double if you happened to stack the fish.

13. Do not ever complain about running bad if you are beating someone. If you're up several buyins, you cannot be running all that bad. Plus no one cares anyway. Stop whining.

14. If you see someone losing a lot of money, do not sit in the game and tell them to stop playing. Every time I see this, I want to punch this Mother Theresa wannabe in the face. No one needs your advice.

15. If someone sits down at your table and he game is heads up and you both post blinds, but you don't want to play at this time and win their BB...if they ask for their blind back, return it. If this person was only there to hit and run you or buy short to double up and leave, feel free to steal and sit out.

16. It is acceptable to demand a full buy in (at least 100bb at deep tables) at any time. It is acceptable to quit a game at any time if your opponent refuses to rebuy to the max amount. Offering your opponent the chance to play at lower stakes is highly appreciated. For example, if you've been playing 25-50 and your opponent has 1500 left and refuses to rebuy, it is acceptable to offer them a game at 5-10 instead.

17. Never ever apologise for sucking out. Who cares? I'd like to suck out every time I get it in behind. I'd be very happy about it.

18. Never ever say "Nice Hand" if you win the pot. Who are you saying nice hand to? Yourself?

19. Never make challenges you don't intend to keep. If you challenge someone to heads up, don't back down.

20. If you play 1-2, don't pretend you can beat 10-20 because you "think" a fish is playing. It's like me saying, I can go beat the 500-1000 game because one of the players seems weaker than the rest...when I couldn't possibly have the slighest idea because I've never played 500-1000 with aforementioned player. Don't mouth off, you just look stupid commenting from the rail.

21. Making fun of idiots who break these etiquette rules is not only acceptable, it is encouraged...unless they are really bad and going to quit the game. Basically the rule is, if the guy won't quit the game, you can make fun of him all you want if there's reason to do so. For example, he is a jerk, he is making fun of bad recreational players, being the table coach, ratholing, etc.

Rules of Engagement:

1. Always give someone a second chance. Never give them a third.

2. If someone is nice, be nice. And vice versa.

3. It is acceptable to needle someone in a friendly, and not an offensive, demeaning or hostile way if you think it will tilt them or keep them playing longer or whatnot. However, it is probably unwise and you're better off not doing it because they may just leave or not rebuy after losing. Usually this only works on competitive people or anyone with something to prove, not those just looking to relax and have a good time. Each situation is different - use your own judgement but it's better to just not say anything.


4. If someones sole intent is to be the biggest jerk possible, then nothing is off limits. People who are jerks don't understand anything but other jerks. Feel free to say the most harshest things imaginable to them without a shred of remorse.

Examples:

If a guy's sole intent is to join every single one of your heads up tables to steal your blind and leave because he knows it annoys you and has absolutely no intention of playing, then wishing him death in the most gruesome way possible is perfectly acceptable.

If someone wins 4 coin flips in a row on you, it is not acceptable to hope their family dies in a catastrophe. You get the point.

Remember, everyone has bad days once in a while but for the most part you get what you give.

Obviously at some point all of us have broken some of these etiquette guidelines but I hope that most try to adhere to them whenever possible....except for depeche...who's a complete fcuking moron...but that's a blog for a different time.

There's probably a bunch of stuff I forgot, but this blog is already too long anyway.

What am I talking about? The retardonkathon known as FTP in the early mornings of US Eastern time. I've been playing a bunch there lately...mostly heads up late night US time since my sleep schedule is all screwed and I am up from 3am to noon. It's kind of hard getting donks and bumhunters to play me HU and after getting the old no ty like 10 straight times I decided to just multi table 6max.

Usually I don't bother with 6max because the games aren't great but more importantly because there's always a huge list..and I can't be bothered waiting forever and then having the game break in 2 orbits...but the last few days I've been getting a seat right away and there's at least one huge mega donk per table. To top that off, the regulars sitting are horrendous.

There are two Italians who are both 6 figure winners in the game and are absolutely awful. I would pay money to play them heads up.

FTP games are usually tough so I have no idea if this is just good timing or a flukey string or what but there's been tons of value. Let's hope it continues.

Dudu made a girl cry on a date. Lets discuss how terrible of a human being he is.

Also anybody who hacks and absolutely trashes the page of that retard who's bot has been spamming our comments, or the pages of anyone who left any spam in our comments for that matter, will forever be a glorious hero and dudu will hang their picture in his "war room" for all to marvel at!

Back from Australia

Ok so, I am back from Australia.

I want to quit my entry here but I will continue for the sake of it.

I lost like 30k on the trip, my last update here said I was suck 27k or so, I was stuck 32kish at most, I got back within 3k of even, then I had one hell of a drunk session that cost me quite a bit of money. Then I booked my flight back 2 days early and headed home, only to not make it home for 5 days.

So I busted the main event in 50 minutes, I was still playing like a noob at this point, I didn't care to play at all.

I played serious in the 5k HU event, and got fuckkked.

I played 10-20 with a 40$ straddle cash, was playing well not drinking too much then I decided to have about 25 cocktails in 7 hours (I was trying to get a 3:1 prop bet from people earlier in the day that I could have 30 cocktails in 12 hours and profit at 10 20 NL only getting 5 minute breaks every hour to piss and smoke etc) Noone took me up on the bet, so I proceeded to try it with no incentives and I got through 23 cocktails in about 7-8 hours and spewed about 25k off in the last 20 hands I played.... Ridiculous to be honest.

So I go to a titty bar that night, get a couple more drinks, just obliterated at this point. Next morning I change my flights to get me back in time to attempt to repeat my HPT win at my local casino, idk why I would try to fly this far to make this, I just wanted out of Australia really.

So I get on a flight and basically to make a long story short it took 32 hours to get to this casino, my luggage got lost, but is now found, I wore the same clothes for like 4 days, I had no toothbrush so I was buying mouthwash every morning at this gift shop at the hotel, but they dont sell toothbrushes? I busted main event quickly, I lost in cash games to coolers, I lost like 35k on eveyrthing PLUS like 15k on PDC playing PLO one day so Australia cost me about 50,000$ and now I am furious.

SO I am motivated once again.

Starting in 14 days or less I am going to be playing 7-8 hours a day minimum. I am going to play all year long, only skipping days for special events, 4th July, Weddings, Bachelor Party, ummm things I am contractually binded to for the most part. I am going to make at minimal 300k online this year, and doing this I will be starting as a 1-2 reg on FTP and PS and my normal 5-10 and 10-20 on PDC and I hope to be at 5-10 on PS and FTP by June, (well June on FTP and like next Jan for PS probably....) I am so fucking pissed about how I treated the Australia trip..... It was a fucking waste of time and money.

I am making my computer room as I type kind of, I will post pics of my new house sometime when the snow is all gone and I find motivation to do so, and I get eveyrthing put where I want it. My "war room" is going to be sick though. I will basically have 2 large monitors with a 42" LCD wall mounted above them so I can watch cable while I play on my L desk in my leather office chair. Would revert to a beanbag, but I already have the L desk and it was kind of expensive so I don't want to waste it.

Ummm Yea that is all I have for now....

Okay so we have a few things for todays blog:


1. No, I didn't actually flip a quarter and decide to call with that KQ...and lol @ someone asking me this. I remember this hand clearly and I remember thinking about it for a good 20-30 seconds before calling. It was not a spew nor a bad call, otherwise I would have folded. I remember looking over that hand at the end of the session and still deciding it was a call. Results don't really matter, it just happened to turn out good.


2. Some of you asked about blogging here with us...and it's a request I've had before...well there's good news and bad news.

The good news: I've decided several months ago to turn this into a real site not some BS blogspot like it currently is. Of course we'll have member blogs and what not...and if your blog doesn't suck and by doesn't suck I mean actually funny/entertaining...and people like it...and by people I mean ME...we'll throw it up on the front page (dont hold me to this) so everyone can read it and post derogatory comments calling you an ahole. Of course if your blog sucks and your name isn't Jay or Dadu, you'll never see the front page and continue sucking all by yourself.

The bad news: I am lazy. It takes me forever to actually do something otherwise we would have had a real site years ago. So bear with me...the good thing is while I may be slow, I actually get shit done...it just takes me a while. Also, a big help would be if anyone here can build websites or do anything related to website building or know anyone who does...your assistance would be appreciated.


3. So I played like 14hours straight between Jan 30 & Jan 31 cause I really didn't feel like having a losing Jan. I started the month like +6k then followed it up by -16k spewcity to Jerry so I had to get myself into enough of a plus to not commit suicide. So 14 hours of any 2 vs anyone at any time makes me a winner. Do not try this strategy.

So I ended up waking up at like 8pm on Sunday...fast forward a day of almost no action and at like 5am I decide to play 5-10 for an hour before going to bed vs some mediocre reg who gives me action. So at this point I'm kind of tired and playing idiotically and I end up going on total spew city for like 4buyins...so now I'm mega stuck and I realize the only way I'll get unstuck is 10-20...but he won't play 10-20...so I open the first 10-20 table I see and sit vs a decent regular.

Of course now I am annoyed that I got myself into this situation and I proceed to continue playing like a tard and suicide bluff off 2 buyins. Now I'm stuck 8k and have been playing for several hours and I'm mega pissed because I am about to start Feb stuck 8k for no reason other than I wanted to mess around 5-10 for an hour and just spewed off 8k. Then to make my problems worse, dudu comes online.

First thing's first, I curse him out for no reason. Then I curse him out for not making me quit stuck 2k. Then we have a conversation about the hooker he bought in Australia and proceeds to tell me literally some of the dumbest things I have ever heard. I wish I saved the conversation so I can post the transcripts here but I didn't. The gist of it was basically he doesn't consider escorts hookers because, wait for it, "they are classy". This went on for a few minutes and the more he told me about his theories that because you order them from a catalog instead of picking them up from the casino floor and because you can "take them to dinner", they're classy. I was amazed...I didn't think dudu could shock me anymore...how wrong I was.

Laughing at Dudu must have woken me up because I decided there was no way I was going to start February stuck 8k...so I kind of caught my 2nd wind and mounted a comeback vs both opponents before quiting with a whopping +$500ish on the 5 or so hour session.

I played a few interesting hands...but the most fun by far was the last hand at the 10-20 table where I folded what looked to be like the best hand, but was likely to not be, to a river bet and dudu chastised me for it over AIM for making what appeared to be a bad fold. I told him he was out of his mind an we argued over it. So we decided to make the Norwegian I was playing tell us what he had...but he wouldn't. So dudu offered him $200 (we have this thing where Dudu is making me flip him once a day for the course of the year at $200 a pop) from me if he had me beat and $200 from dudu if he was bluffing. So the guy of course says he had the nut straight, dudu doesn't believe him...and we request a screen shot.

Dude was actually a good sport and imageshacks the hand...with...obv the nut straight and dudu's forced to ship him $200.

Let's all laugh at dudu as some scando is using his money to buy himself soccer jerseys.

I keep value shipping sets into straights, trips into boats and overpairs into bigger overpairs. HGDHJDASKLDAJ

But the biggest problem is I'm value betting stations very thinly because I keep bluffing them and they keep calling. But they keep calling and having it or calling light.

One guy was just sick...he showed me trips or better 9 hands in a row...it was like flush flush straight flush flush...I guess if I wasn't such a monkey I wouldn't even see half of them...but neither would he. of course he spews all my money away to everyone but me the following day.

Oh, that and the constant counterfeiting when I'm deep and I can't get stacks i on flop or turn so they call down and find some kind of miracle flush, straight or 2 pair counter...and I check back 1/2 the time...and bluff the other half...and both are probably awful...I should just mash the fold button without showdown to save myself the aggravation.

And every time I get creative I get shoved on.

The only reason I'm not down 5k every day is because I've been sucking out in all in pots where I have 3 outs preflop. Plus it's 5-10 or lower cause it's so damn hard to get anyone to play me at higher than 5-10...

We nail the monster flop of 5s9hJs...so we check because we're obv trapping here. UTG1 checks too cause he's trapping as well. Poor total bet fires 111 like he has a set or something. lol? lol.

Yeah right, what set? Time to spring our trap with K high. tree fitty five to go. So i guess this guy really liked his draw and thinks I'm FOS and ships it for nearly 100bb more. So poor totalbet folds his set and I do the only reasonable thing possible...I decide that he's FOS (a really complex formula that involves flipping a quarter then closing my eyes to mash the call button). And ship the 2k pot with K high. Poker's easy.

I have just decided what I want for my birthday....LOTTERY TICKETS. I just want to win the lotto and quit trying to grind 2k a day. I am in Australia, in my hotel room, with the privacy please tag hanging on my door for about 60 hours now.

I am busto, I brought 22k and change, and ran like complete and utter shit, I got here the 16th, was broke late the 19th I believe, maybe the 20th early, not too sure on that.

But anyways, I don't even feel like typing some hands I got fucked on, but of course I did bluff off 8k in what would have been my sickest float ever so I will share this hand even though I got so owned it is not even something I want to share.

I have 75h I 3bet an early open to 150$ or so and get a call.

The guy I 3bet is this SUPER nit and somehow this SUPER NIT has 8k mostly from me already. He is I have no clue where he is from, but I dislike the kid very much from the minute he sits down for some reason. So anyways I run bad for much of this trip and made that HUGE bluff fail but anyways I am running below EV I am certain, I have had some sick flops go against me. It is truly disgusting because almost all of my double ups I have been behind, but when I am ahead I am just in trouble, I snapped AA with A8s AI pre once?

So now after reading those 2 paragraphs or whatever its safe to say I have played bad, but I have ran equally bad, but have no reason to have lost 22k playing 5-10 in 3 days.....

NOW, for the good part of the story.

My Aunt was coming to Australia anyways so I had my sister run by my house and get 20k for her to bring to me, I should have this $$$ already but I don't my Aunt misses her flight by 5 minutes, wasn't her fault, so she got stranded over night out of town, she has actually had worse luck than me in the last 2 days, I feel bad for her... and I am in a selfishly self centered way right now, so that says a lot....

SO I am scrambling to get money, sell money online, anything, but discretely so I don't look like a degen running around up here, but with no success. So I call my sister again, tell her to go back to my house and grab 10k and wire it to me. So she does, because shes a good sister and knows I am a degenerate and need the money.

So she wires it, and I go to the cage to pick it up this morning, and I can't get it. Apparently my sister had to wire it about 2 hours earlier for it to pass through approval by "the feds" she says so I have no money....

I have tried to Western Union myself money online (also had Jay trying to do this but we failed, for some reason it wouldn't let us and besides I could only have gotten 2k anyways)

I have tried to wire money from my bank account to the hotel I am at.

I tried to pull money out of the cage using my debit card, but they dont allow that in Australia??? wtf?

I have contacted PDC to get me money but was told it wouldn't be able to make it before Sunday or Monday, so oh well....

Tomorrow morning I will have cash.

I am paying 20$ an hour to use fucking internet in the hotel, which I have been on quite a bit, I probably have spent 600-800$ using internet in this hotel since I have been here, ridiculous....

So to the most degen part of my trip thus far.

The last 3 mornings I wake up, I walk to the Crown Casino, I pull ouit 400$ (max they let you pull a day here, (oh and I called my bank to have my ATM limits increased but they cant do thato ver the phone)

So I wake up, go pull 400$ out, and I go 400 on black!

lol I am stuck probably 27k for the trip, and I am coming out of this bitch even come hell or high water, this has been just a dreadful trip thus far and I am going to turn it around.

Ok so this is at a 3-6 Deep table (200BB) and were both 200 BB deep, me and this Estonian

Well he is a reg, but this hand actually pissed me off more than any hand I have played in a good long while.

I have AA in mid, he opens utg +1

He opens to 18, i make it 72, he makes it 160ish

K now me, I have AA, if I 4bet he is mucking almost anything, prob flatting KK QQ MAYBE, "MAYBE"

Noone is going to stack off 200BB with KK on a FR table 100% of the time

So I elect to flat.

I make it 360, barely over a min raise

He ships and I snap expecting KK QQ (not JJ 1010 and ill explain why)

This hand is so fucking bad for a reg....

1st off what is his objective with his 4bet??? To get 5bet by AA and muck his hand? To get 5bet by AK and muck? 5bet by KK? I mean seriously....

If I call I have him beat, if I come over the top he has to muck unless he is just going insano mode.

Why the fuck would he 4bet a hand with so much value vs a 3bet when we are 200BB deep?

He takes my 72$ or mucks and loses his 160ish OR I guess I get tricky and he flops a set....

So Colorado, just got back from there last week I guess, but I am lazy on the blog updates.

I lost about 8k on the trip, plus my airfare and the hotel room (rented the mountain pine suite at the Ameristar in Blackhawk Colo) The room was awesome, go look at pics, that is why I put what I did in parenthesis!

But I lost so much playing craps... I ran so bad in craps, my horseshoe has fallen out of my ass at table games, I lost every where I sat. It was sucky.

My friends in Colorado all week before I fly in with this bad ass room I rented are telling me "we have so many girls coming"

ZERO GIRLS so we have to go search the floor for some, found 2 ugly girls, and 2 more that were ok, but we got back to the hotel wiuth the 2 ok girls and they had a friend puking and we never met back up... Awesome....

I am running good on PDC again, finally, I sit and I win! I run normal to good! Ty PDC

I just typed ummmm and deleted it, I guess this means I am prob done with this post, nothing too much has happened.

Well I guess I can dig deeper, we had nearly a foot of snow in Oklahoma, and I had to help a couple people get unstuck, yay, never telling anyone I have straps in my truck again, its butt fookin cold and people are stupid. I pull this one guy out at a gas station when I was gettin gas, then he proceeds to drive RIGHT BACK WHERE HE WAS STUCK then I pulled him out again, and drug his stupid little mini cooper all the way across the parking lot to prevent him from doing it again. Why so many people choose to drive around in the snow with 2WD I have no clue. Oklahoma drivers and snow are just not a good mix.

Christmas was good got a bunch of stuff from the folks, nothing expensive mostly just random things I need but forget to buy a lot (shampoo, kitchen items, basic necessities I guess) and I got my folks a couch, bought family photos with me my sister and brother, I guess I will post one in here, make it a family blog.

K Idk how time passes so fast

But it has been 20 days or so since an update, and I felt like I updated it yesterday...

So boring shit out of the way, poker!

So Jerry came through, and I got clocked by the worst session I have ever had, running miserable, then he clocks me on every 6max table I see him on with flips or just sucking out like he does (tho he has tightened up A LOT in the last couple weeks) But point is everyone clocks him but me, its stupid, and it is seriously cause he runs like a saint vs me....

But anyways, my account was on dooooomsdayyyy after that, (well I was too but I was running so bad on top of playing bad) running below EV losing literally every table I sat at, it was just sick....

So this goes on for about 2 weeks, and I go on like a 65-70k downfall.... yay!

So in my paranoia I had made a Carbon account a while back and I shipped 15k over to it and started playing a bit there, ran ok, won some hands, got about 3-4k back in an hour and I was sitting here at my desk smiling because I won some money finally! So I get back on PDC and I run ok, I get about 12K more back in a day! So I am like ok so maybe I am going to be ok here, maybe the carbon account just untilted me because I expected to run well, didnt play bad, but in hindsight I didn't run particularly well, I just didn't tilt, and ran about avg, I wasn't jamming every pot I played, I am playing pretty nitty right now, little gun shy after a 70k slide obv but... i will be back to reckless rick in no time.

So to pretty much dig out of this ridiculous slide, (which is actually like 80K + with tourneys and stuff on PS and FTP) Which I run incredibly deep in stuff but nothing past 6th, which basically best way to describe tourneys, when you cash, 3rd-9th places only cover your buyins for that stake level.... Well 3rd - end of cash line.... 1st and 2nd cover your pockets with money. So just nothing to survive, I went to town prob played 30-35k in buyins in a 4 day span and nearly busted both accounts, had like 10k in each roughly, or 15-5k or something.... but never cashed for over 4k had a couple final tables but lost some flips got coolered failed to cooler whatever.

So I end up with under 2k in both accts, and I say I guess I will take 2 shots play the 1k monday on Full Tilt and the Super Tuesday on Stars then be done with grinding tourneys for like 6 years since I hate them with a passion.

Well I ran into a curse... I got 3rd in the 1k monday for 39k, fuck me running I am prob gonna grind more tourneys now cause of that.. I hope not, I dont want to play tourneys ever again.

I hate sitting at my comp for like 12-14 hours sometimes longer and not making $$$ and not getting to break when I want, eat when I want, piss when I want, etc. Plus when you tilt in one tourney you tilt in like all of them, you are like big stack in 6 of the 20 tourneys running then you get fucked in one then you fuck yourself in about 5 others til you go "stop, this is stupid...." then you are thinking "well I still got one big stack left, lets just make up for it" then that one isn't the one thats going to make it ok! {IFhjkrlghljkshfnkldsf fuck tourneys....

Maybe I will play them when my tilt control is better? Until then, no.

So ottttherrrr news.... Nothing really, except I am going to Colorado this weekend to go with a buddy round some girls up rented a baller suite in a casino town, (mountain views, huge jacuzzi in the room) (supposedly almost panoramic views i nthe jacuzzi area, views of the mountains)


I am buying a house now, kind of , my sister is getting married or soemthing and leaving her house, so I am under the table purchasing it and she is going to deed it over to me when its paid off, so kind of a home owner now, nice house so kind of excited about that.

Michigan- Sleepless, Fortunate....

So I was in Michigan from Friday til Monday for the HPT Season Finale which anyone who won an event during the year got a free tourney buyin and 500$ cash for travel. So I get up there Friday night and there is a dinner for us and an open bar and we get a champions hockey jersey for winning the tourney we won.

So I get pretty hammered at the open bar, and after that we end up leaving with some goober we meet in the casino who like lives in his car I guess (not making fun of him, but he is apparently super stubborn or he wouldn't be living in his car from what I understand) Anyhow we go to some bar called Way Side in CMUs town and this place is just packed with 18 year old girls.... Teeny bopper bar I guess, oh well.


So we ditch this goober up there and end up getting a ride back to the casino from a cab driver. Me and my buddy head back to the room just hammered drunk, I dont remember the cab ride really but I do remember (after being informed the next day by my buddy) that when I got back to the room I go to dive on the bed and completely miss and hit the ground. I guess I was sober enough to do what I did next. I walk out of the room (buddy claims I literally crawled to the door) and I go play Roulette!!!!!! I get to the roulette table and pull out a bundle of 100s I had in my pocket and throw 100$ at a time out on the table and get a black chip and put it on a #, so I drill my # for 3500$ within 10 throws, I think 9 throws if my math was correct the next day then I peel another # within 10 tries, hit another within 10 tries, I dont know how many I hit but I had a 17k stack of purple 500$ chips when it was all said and done, tipped a dealer 500$ and went back to crash.

The next day my buddy wakes up and sees all the purple chips on the night stand and is like WTF!!?!??!? The last thing he told me before I left for roulette the night before was "Don't dude your just going to lose a fuck load of money and be pissed off"

So we go eat and sign up for the tourney whcih I bought him into since I won like 15k playing roulette and the tourney starts up and he is running a big stack up early, catching a lot of hands. He would have been a lot better off if his KK held to JJ and his AA held to QQ deeper in the tourney but hey it happens... Just not to me so early :P I have under 10BBs for literally 3 hours and like 4 levels until I finally catch some love!

I am utg with 9300 chips at 700 1400 blinds with 100 chip ante, I promise when I was utg the next round I had over 90k in chips. I 10x my stack in one round shipped J10 utg won a flip vs 44 then the guy who had the 44 shipped the cutoff on my SB and I SNAP RESHIP with A8 and my A8 holds vs 74, kinda holds? Flop K K 2 - 7 - A so it was interesting. Then AK v AJ for a bit pot, I opened like utg +2 and get 2 flats then a ship, the guy who was 2nd to flat my open shows AQ when he folds and I think fuck, I am up against a pair but guy tables AJ so that was cool.

I make it to day 2 my buddy barely misses the cut and we go off a drinking again, try to go to sleep but couldn't sleep really then 3up shows up to the casino finally at like 4 AM or something stupid when I have to wake up by 8 and we go eat and bullshit for a couple hours, I end up getting to sleep at about 6:45 and wake up at 8:54 cause my alarm does not go off and I have that internal clock going for me atleast.

Well I end up being the leader with 20 left, but literally fuck you Michigan players because you all take like 4 minutes to fold a fucking hand when there isn't even a flop out!?!? Because you all ask for an EXACT CHIP COUNT EVERY TIME SOMEONE MOVES IN EVEN WHEN YOU KNOW YOU ARE NOT CALLING! BECAUSE YOU ARE ALL FUCKING STUPID!

I got 15th and this tourney had the same # of players as the one I won in, when I won we got 6 handed at 12k 24k and were 20 handed at like 4k 8k or so.

They didn't get 6 handed til 50 100k and did not get 20 handed til 10k 20k.... So stupid....

But anyways me and Chris Hanson (one of the TV commentators for the HPT) went and played craps later on (I am belligerantly drunk) and I have no clue how to play, he says he will show me and I pull 1k out of my pocket and say I wanna turn this into 10k or bust it. He ran me up to like 7k or so and that was cool.

Sooo all in all I made around 20k for the trip with like 500-1000 of that being poker! So I am not particularly proud of the trip for what it was supposed to be but hell I will take the profits.

Have not done anything online since really, played a bit won a bit flipping with JayNYC, you guys may have heard of him but I doubt it. I ended up giving him a pity out on it and shipped him half of what he lost back. He kept typing "cry" in the box and I am a sucker for whiners.

Life tilt: The Aftermath.

Okay, so now that I'm a bit settled...I'll recap this last month as best I can because honestly....the only thing I remember is spewing 60k away yesterday.

Briefly the good?:

I've been playing high? again...I no longer know whats defined as high stakes or mid stakes or what's defined as nosebleeds or what. So for all effective purposes...I've just been playing where money changes hands quickly...25-50 deep, 50-100, etc.

Yay!

Surprisingly, I've been winning... usually I either run like absolute hell @ 50-100 or get owned by people who are actually good. So because no one I've been playing is actually any good...I've won until...

So...Jerry. HOW DOES SOMEONE FLOP A PAIR+DRAW 80% OF THE TIME IN 4BET POTS? Someone explain this to me and teach me how to do it.

I'm obviously not going to go into in-depth strategy discussion...but we've played what I'm guessing is 6 "matches"...with him winning 3 and I winning 3.

yeah, so I'm running good obv...but that's not really the problem. The problem is this: he handles tilt better than I do. In fact, he's probably gotten me to shoot off/make a dumb call or play....for about 25k give or take.

Yesterday: We played a ton of hands in two matches....at least 5k hands...probably more. First session I won 25k and busted his account. An hour later he came back and we ended up playing for what seemed like at least 10 hours. During the 2nd session, there was never a point where I was up, but I was within 5k of being even (20k up from sesh 1) 5 different times...and 5 different times I wanted to quit because I was tired and frustrated...but if you've been reading this blog...you know I have problems quiting even when I know I should....so It goes back and forth for an eternity until the wheels completely fall off and not only do I shoot off the 25k I won, but another 35k on top of that.

Then of course, I immediately hate myself and quit before I fall off the chair and pass out. Not a good startegy.


He's handling it much better than I am for two reasons:

1. Fatigue - Its been so long since I've played any sort of super marathon HU sessions or any marathon poker sessions in general...that I'm getting tired when we roll over past hour 6. Fatigue is horrible, it puts you into a) robot mode, b) makes you do dumb stuff. All Jerry does is play super long marathon heads up sessions and so he's better prepared to handle it.

2. Tilt factor - I don't think I've gotten him to tilt yet...probably because I keep getting it in ahead and losing or behind and losing...he's been a bit steamy but he hasn't been spewing off to me like I'd expect...but he has gotten me to shoot off a few times. Again, this happens deep into the match so I think it has a lot to do with fatigue.

The clear answer is play short sessions...however, if I opt to play short sessions, where he's stuck 3-4 buyins and then I quit for the day...he will just go and spew it all off to someone else...thus I will cost myself that golden oppertunity when he tilts off 50k....However he's been sort of quitting when he's dropped 4-5buy ins...then cooling off and coming back. So maybe short sessions would be the way to go...we'll see.

Sigh.

I think I'm down on the month now.

Disappointed in myself.

Probably taking weekend off and going to AC.

K now I will show a few pots I did win in the session.... and if I find ANY hands I sucked out for a pot for more than 50BB I will 100% post it I don't think there is one....

This is how loose I was getting action and still losing the match, given he wasn't gonna be this loose all the time, all I need is top pair vs 2nd pair a lot of the times, and I can't get it without running hands like above posted repeatedly...

Here, I just dont see how he has this hand, I expect to get away with my shove a lot.... I am just baffled with his hand, maybe I am missing something, maybe we were deep enough to peel turn, but I mean, you gotta be deep enough and get paid to make this worth it to me, or have me check check turn river and not catch or not 2barrell, I just dont get this, but maybe I am wrong....

No, I play bad actually....

Jerry, clocked me... I was up like 12k, then it crashes and I run worse than I ever had ran in my life (not when I was winning the 12k he was in behind 100% of the all ins, and failed to suck out) Then I misjudge a bit on his looseness, make a few loose plays where I am making a less than optimal play and followed by losing a 10500$ pot with AA to JJ where he 4flushes gettin in on QQ3 flop with 2 of his suit, losing an 8K pot with top pair vs his middle pair and he spikes a third on the river after putting 200BB nearly on the flop, a 13K Pot where I miss an open ended straight flush draw where he flopped 2 pair (I played my hand way too fast and we were too deep to play it like I did, so my fault, still another huge flip I lost) Lose a 14k pot with nuts vs 2nd nuts, I have 67 on a 4 8 10 Q 5 board.......... I lost to J9 to say the least..... Lost an 8k pot with KK vs 98 where he flopped a joint. And in hindsight the only hand I think I could have prevented was the OESFD. The game flow was so active on both sides, I was getting called so loose but he literally turned 2 pair flopped 2 pair turns straights just runs insane throughout, so I get stuck like 39k for an over 50k swing, which is the new biggest of my "career" and I ran 21k below EV almost, (note this is allin EV this excludes him turning 2pair vs my TPTK or flopping straights vs big pairs when I am never not going to bet into him unless there is just a boatload beating me....)

So I never came from behind for stacks ONE time in the match (well kinda one, but I am fav on the flop with Jh6h vs 3d4d on 4h 5h 7s flop..... this was a 13k pot..... I won, we got all in on the flop..... and I can't beat this fucking guy last night.......

Can't Sleep Update

So 3up and Jay are just as lazy as me atleast, if not lazier.

Pretty sure 3up has been legally drunk for the last 30 days and lost all ambition to play after his 2 month binge. Jay, is just a hermit except for this coming weekend when he refuses to go to Michigan with me to play an HPT / hang out with 3Up because he has tickets to a fucking Miley Cyrus concert..... On the poker news, going to be a little scattered...

First a couple hands from the live tourneys they had in Tulsa (well one hand I remember for sure)

This is at a 5-10 NL table and we are playing with a 25$ straddle

I am the straddle (utg) and pick up 910o

UTG +1 makes it 50$ and 2 others call before it gets to me.

I call the extra 25$

Flop 9h 10d 5s

I check
Initial raiser bets 300$ into 200$ (yesssss)
2 folds then back to me

I make it 750 (this is the 2nd time ive put a small raise in on the guy check raising him on the flop)

(by the way I am 9k deep he is about 5k deep)

He thinks and calls

(in my head I am just going 4 or lower and this guy is fucked)

TURN - 2s (yahtzee)

I pause and debate my options (I had been caught bluffing a kid earlier by grabbing all my bills and sliding them across the table neatly- this is what the plan was)

About 2k in the pot and I slide 8k worth of bills across the table and he SNAPS me

I instantly turn my hand over to show him that, well.... he got pwned...

River Kd (i wince a bit cause I know he has AA KK QQ)

He grabs his hand and yells "YOU JUST GOT FUCKED!!!!!" (dudes like 50.... and yells this...)

So I ship him the pot cause he has KK obv..... yay.


So that pot cost me about 5k and I was stuck about that at the end of that sitting..

Another hand I will mention was at a 2-5 table (5-10 wasnt too often the tourneys sucked this year)

The guy was pretty pissed and informed atleast 10 people within 30 feet of the table about the hand and I heard a lot about it for the next couple hours, even from people not at the table.... Ok, so I also played the 2100$ buyin tourney up there, which pulled a massive field of 21 players! (this was the only tourney I played)

But amongst the 21 players were some big names! Eric "Rizen" Lynch and ....... (drum roll) JAMIE EFFIN GOLD!

Oh how I wanted to bring up how so many people from PDC/Carbon fked him up while he was with Acedpoker.com or whatever. But I just couldn't because he looked like a train wreck. He's a nice guy, but pretty sheepish for someone who won 12M, rough road down I guess...

But anyway one hand with him, we are down to like 8 in that 2100$ buyin and Jamie opens and I ship over the top of him. He asks for a count and I count it for him and go about my business, about 20 seconds go by and I look over at Jamie to see wtf is takin so long. This guy is staring me in the eyes, dead in the eyes.... I stare back for like 5 seconds before I start to grin, then smile, then laugh, literally laughing because he won't quit staring me in the eyes. I lose my composure and I say to him "Sorry man I just didnt wake up today thinking I was gonna have Jamie Gold attempt to soul read me"

He folded..... and later I was telling the table that I was laughing because I failed to see what kind of info he was going to gain staring me in the eyes, and what the rat on the wheel in his head was doing.

He busted shortly after squeezing with A2o, I took 3rd (paid 3) for like 7600, lost a stupid hand to get short but oh well..


Ummm my birthday was about a week ago I think, the 9th whenever that was. So for my birthday I rented the VIP section at a club at Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa called Friction, bottle service the works...

So about 3 hours into the night I guess I accidentally elbow a girl or something, (i was told by the girls friend that I never hit her) and then proceed to get a drink thrown on me, security comes and kicks me out of my own fucking VIP when I paid for the fucking thing, without ever hearing a word I have to say, so I dropped about 1600$ on this and get kicked out... I don't even know if anyone there even requested more bottles that I paid for... So yea, that was my birthday..

Oh I rented a 400$ hotel room at the place and I went up to it after kicked out and broke my phone against a wall and then left and drove home.... Boy those maids were in for it in the morning! The towels are hung the bed is made but a few pieces of cellphone to pick up!

So there is this new guy on PDC/Carbon named Colberz20.... watch out for this kid, he is a young up and comer, he is the real mccoy. If you ever see him on the tables mention me and get a free double cheeseburger from McDonalds (limited to one per tourney/cash sitting)

Ummmmmmm I just swapped 10k of my valuable PS money for 10k on FTP and blew it all in about an hour, I fuckin hate that site so so much I just automatically play bad on it. I don't know what it is, but I just play so bad on there. So I am torn what to do about it.

Other than that, online is goin good last few weeks, always on the climb Jerry is back the birds are chirpin the sun is shining and all that good stuff.

For just over two hours which is over 3x as long as I played yesterday. It was pretty exciting. Dadu stole most of my profits because he's a closet fag. That is all.
